World-class Printing

With over 25 years of experience printing high quality yearbooks,  the digitally prepared pages are sent directly from the internet to press. The traditional, manual pre-press is eliminated which results in a higher degree of accuracy and much faster delivery times. Finally, the school baseball season can make it in the yearbook. There is no room for manual errors that create delays in delivery or undesired results.

Check out the wide range of printing options we support.

Saddle stitching is one of the simplest binding styles. It is also the most widely used. Folded signatures are placed over a "saddle" and then stapled along the spine.

This style of binding is excellent for small to medium paperback yearbook (e.g. 64 pages or less). This is the most popular binding for elementary schools.

PUR (Polyurethane Reactive) is the strongest, most flexible book binding adhesive available. It offers superior page-pull strength compared to standard hot melt binding adhesives, averaging 40 percent to 60 percent better page pulls than traditional adhesives. This makes PUR ideal for heavy-use applications or projects with heavy ink or coating coverage. PUR is considerably more flexible than standard EVA hotmelts, giving the finished product the ability to lie flat when open, allowing for hands free reading.

This style of binding is very well suited for medium to large (e.g. 64 pages or more) paperback or hard cover yearbooks.

Smyth Sewn book bindings are the highest quality book binding available on the market today. It is the hallmark of art gallery and museum quality, archival safe books because the pages are physically sewn into the book using binders thread and further reinforced with fabric backing and adhesive to create the most usable and durable books available. Books for museums and art publications are typically Smyth Sewn because they stand up to years of wear and tear. Smyth Sewn bindings use thread to sew through folded signatures of a book. Signatures are made by printing on large sheets and then folding into groups of pages, usually 16 or 24 at a time. Each signature is sewn individually with threads going through each page several times. The threads are then tied off. All of the signatures are likewise attached together with thread creating what is called the book block. The book block is further strengthened using flannel and adhesive on the spine.

Yearbooks with Smyth Sewn bindings lay completely flat, making them easier to read and write in. From coffee table quality art gallery and museum books to yearbooks, nothing is better suited for the large high school or university.

This style of binding is excellent for large hard cover yearbooks (e.g. 180 pages or more). This is the most popular binding for high schools and universities.

Choose from a wide selection of papers. Our 80# Standard Paper comes in a gloss or matte finish. Our 100# Premium Papers are about 35% heavier and also come in gloss or matte finishes.

Our printing plants have received triple chain of custody certification. This certification designates that the process by which paper is made promotes sustainable forest management standards. Our plants have been certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) and Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC).

We also use the Enviro 100 Trade recycled paper, an environmentally friendly choice which can be used by trade book publishers for short, medium or long runs, or even specialty publications. Until recently, choosing such papers often meant having to sacrifice quality and even then they were only available at a premium price. Not any more! We offer a range of weights and colours to choose from. Produced by Cascades, the Enviro 100 Trade paper is equal to or superior to its virgin paper counterpart.
